SUPPORT PROJECTWomen Ready to Lead Climate Action.
WOMATE Circle is a growing network and community of women working in or aspiring to work in climate and sustainability spaces. It is designed to foster connection, shared learning, and access to opportunities that support women’s professional growth and leadership.
BECOME A MEMBERWOMATE provides fee-based research, monitoring, evaluation, and consultation services grounded in feminist, evidence-based, & context-responsive approaches. We support organisations, donors, and programmes to design, implement, and assess impactful gender- and climate-responsive initiatives, ensuring that evidence, lived experience, and policy relevance are meaningfully connected.
BOOK A SERVICEThis initiative addresses the intersection of climate impacts, gender, & mental health, an often overlooked but critical area of climate justice. WOMATE recognises that climate shocks, displacement, poverty, and social exclusion disproportionately affect women’s mental wellbeing, especially those already living in vulnerable conditions. To rescue, rehabilitate, & restore young women with mental health challenges, particularly those living on the streets by providing medical care, safe accommodation, psychosocial support, & vocational skills for long-term recovery & dignity.
DONATEBehind every initiative is a woman of vision. We celebrate the everyday leaders transforming climate anxiety into actionable wisdom for Africa.

“ This program has been insightful and very educational, it has really helped me understand and learn more about Climate Change, resilience, mitigation and adaptation strategies, its impacts and possible solutions. This program has also taught me the importance of Advocacy, women empowerment, youth engagement and being the change for a start. I look forward to seeing more of womate works, collaborations especially here in Zambia and to continue being part of the Alumni Network Community. I will gladly participate in any projects or activities initiated by womate." ”
“This program has been a truly transformative experience for me. I've gained valuable insights into the relationship between both climate change and gender, and how women are both affected by and central to climate resilience. Through the mentorship sessions, I've learned practical ways we can help reduce the impacts of climate change in our communities. I also appreciate the opportunity to connect & network with inspiring colleagues on LinkedIn who share the same passion for climate advocacy. This program has strengthened my confidence and commitment to continue Championing women-led climate solutions”
“The She Leads Mentorship Program has been an enlightening and empowering experience. The sessions on climate change, adaptation and resilience, climate and gender, and digital tools for climate advocacy have greatly expanded my understanding of how young women can be powerful change agents in the face of climate challenges. The program helped me connect the dots between gender equity and environmental justice, and how digital advocacy can amplify our voices & impact. I now feel more equipped and confident to engage in community-based climate action and advocate for inclusive, gender-responsive climate policies. I'm grateful to the mentors and organizers for such a meaningful platform for learning, growth, and leadership development.”
“This program has been eye opening for me. The things I'd learned here, it would have probably taken me years to learn them somewhere else with a higher cost. Now I am better equipped to be a climate advocate wherever I find myself, not just in title but in action. But if only the timeline could be extended for others it would be great. Thank you for this opportunity.”
“Grateful to have been part of the WOMATE, She Leads Climate Mentorship Program,a truly inspiring journey that deepened my understanding of climate leadership and women-led innovation. The mentorship, sisterhood, and shared purpose reminded me that small actions can create lasting impact. I'm leaving more confident, inspired, and ready to keep driving change for a greener, resilient Africa.”
“This is a very powerful program where women are taught what climate change is, the way it affects them and how to champion the world to taking a step in mitigating climate change through social media platforms. I would highly recommend for anyone from beginners in climate change to experts; there is something to learn”
